The crown jewel of our hotel is a splendid evergreen park laid as back as in 1938 in the area of 2 hectares. Presently, the park territory is about 8 hectares. The park is a home to 80 tree, shrub and flower species including palms, silver spruces, cedars and a bamboo grove. Some of the plants are over 100 years old. Special microclimate has developed in the hotel compound over many years. Phytoncides given off by trees blend in with the sea breeze and create a unique medicinal air cocktail.
We do our best to protect and keep safe each and every unique plant. During the hotel reconstruction in 1999-2004 the architecture of new buildings was designed in such a way as to preserve all the old-growth plants in the park. The Villa 2 swimming-pool is a case in point, its shape was modified to protect and keep safe a 100-yer old sequoia. The chapel of Nicholas has been newly built in the very heart of the park. Religious services are hosted in the chapel on holy days such as Christmas, Epiphany and Easter.
